ABOUT
Why partner with us?
Stephen Adams, Founder and Director
After 26 years working for a well-known UK retail bank, I took redundancy in the autumn of 2019 and had an opportunity to consider what I would like to do next. Despite working in the finance sector for most of my career, my roles & responsibilities primarily focused on supporting people rather than dealing with money. My extensive exposure to numerous organisational changes led me to quickly learn that addressing staff and management issues swiftly, efficiently and fairly was paramount to leading a successful and harmonious team.
Subsequently, I was fortunate to find a 3-year appointment at an established consultancy that offered me an opportunity to hone everything I had learned to date. During my tenure, I partnered with a broad mix of British and international clients, whom each gave me an insight into a spectrum of problems that occur in their respective industries.
It became clear that irrespective of the nature of their businesses, many companies shared common scenarios which needed professional support. For each and every situation there was a series of steps to follow in order to establish the cause of a problem and implement a variety of proven techniques to bring about a positive result. Reviewing and assessing a deep-rooted employee concern without the necessary experience and adequate tool set will not remedy a challenging situation. But with a well-considered program of Mediation, Authentic Leadership and Modernising of HR policies, as well as some essential guidance on how best to apply it, there will be a solution.
Jenni Miller, Head of Operations
I started my career as a Saturday girl in a well-known bank whilst I was studying psychology at university. Following my graduation, I moved from ‘Up North’ to ‘Down South’ and was lucky that the bank allowed me to transfer to a branch in Central London. Fastforward 20 years and I was still at the same bank but had progressed through a variety of roles from sales to management then to director support. When the opportunity came for voluntary redundancy, I felt it was a good time to try something new.
I’ve always been fascinated with the psychology of people’s behaviour and have a strong background in HR so the work we do here at Inspirational Coaching is a great fit for me. I’m also a little obsessive about organisation so the operations role means I can make sure things are running as smoothly as I would like them to be!
